After a brief stop and the Glacier Park Lodge in East Glacier, our destination will be the historic Many Glacier Hotel on the shores of Swiftcurrent Lake.  The massive multi-level lobby of this beautiful property provides an excellent gathering point before heading off on a hike. Or take a boat tour which features a short walk between rides on two of the Park’s historic wooden boats across both Swiftcurrent Lake and Lake Josephine. Maybe putting your feet up on the hotel’s expansive decks or in the lobby – where hotel guests can be seen playing board games or enjoying the open fireplace – and resting your eyes on the lake and surrounding mountains is more to your liking. You’ll have two hours or more to explore the area before meeting your driver in the upper lobby for the return trip.    

Animal sightings including Grizzly bears are common in this area and trail closures are possible due to bear activity. Many hikes are available for all levels of experience. The hotel also has a gift shop, and you can purchase beverages and lunch items as well. There is also a restaurant on site but availability is limited.     

NOTE: There is no cell phone service in this area and wifi is only available to registered guests. Please coordinate with driver about where and when to meet before embarking on your adventures from the hotel.
